Take a trip to see the rugged Berserk Lava Fields of western part of Helgafell County.
The central western peninsula, Snæfellsnes, is one of the most Saga invested parts of the country, and this area is no exception. The rugged Berserk Lava Field covers most of the western part of the Helgafell County, and stretches between the mountain slopes and the sea. The lava is approximately 3600-4000 years old and at winter time this beautiful rough lava field meet the snow and shows mysterious sculptures. We will drive through the lava on the old road with some stops to capture the beauty and perhaps see some wildlife, and If we are lucky we might see eagle or two hovering around
We start this tour in Turist Information Grundargata 35, where 4×4 truck will pick you up and drive you to Berserkjahraun to meet the Snow Track Buggy. On the Snow Track Buggy we drive through the lava on the old road. This is an open Buggy so warm clothes are needed.
After the tour through the lava we will go back to the 4×4 truck and drive to the harbor in Grundarfjörður.
